statutory power; configuration of; "fracture and decimation;" american constitution; american government -- conlaw 1
Shows how the power of statute was decimated and fractured in the American constitution. The power of statute originated with absolute-monarchy kings and eventually became under the control of parliaments (legislatures). The American experiment takes the principle even further. It creates multiple "parliaments," any one of which cannot yield the full power over the pronouncement of statutory law. One of my favorite slides. DOWNLOAD.
