________________________________________________________________________________Dear Professor Wilson,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your hard work and efforts throughout the semester that gave me a truly unforgettable learning experience. Not to sound cheesy and contrived, but I really looked forward to, and enjoyed, all of your lectures. I am a biology major, and your class gave me a chance to take a break from all of my physics, chem, and physiology related courses to learn about aspects of life that people rarely acknowledge.
I can’t begin to sum up all that I have learned in your class, but I’ve noticed myself incorporating some of your theories, especially of social distance, in everyday life(arguments with friends, current events & public policy…. really just realizing how detrimentally prevalent it is in our society). I was too tired yesterday to complete an effective course evaluation, and feel that you deserve a more personalized form of recognition. I really enjoyed the way you promoted a constructivist classroom where we could debate the issues at hand in an open environment. However, I’m pretty sure all of us were equally motivated to just sit back and listen to you talk (while we desperately tried to copy, word for word, what you were saying). The online lectures are VERY HELPFUL, GREAT, WONDERFUL, etc…as they give everyone a chance, perhaps after their hangover has passed, to learn about really inspirational and life-changing concepts…(and do better on the online quizzes). The only thing that you might want to improve is the layout design of your PowerPoint presentations. When reviewing the slides, many of the boxes overlap one another, making it difficult and time consuming to copy and paste the boxes in separate slides to be able to follow along with the recordings.
It’s pretty sad that most college students will never get the chance to be exposed to these topics, only to go on with life contributing to the socially unacceptable views of our society. I really think PLSC110 should be a required class for graduation, instead of pre-reqs like English 15?!? Or 3 credits of gym?!? I ended up taking your class because it was the only political science course that would fit into my schedule(and necessary to fulfill a PoliSci requirement for my HPA Minor), but feel it has impacted me more so than any other course I have taken at Penn State.
Respectfully,

Professor Wilson,
Thanks a lot for a great semester. I enjoyed your class most out of the seven I had this semester (Aerospace Engineering major). It was a nice break from the math and science.
I really like the way you elaborated on all viewpoints about a topic and I found your lecture where we were talking about social distance and the brain science behind it captivating and fascinating. Good luck at your next position and go Steelers.
Best Gen Ed I've taken thus far.
Best,
Colin Kling
