If you want immediate mails that go out in real time for each new entry or comment, you need to do two things. You need to subscribe to the blog entries and the comments (separately). If you don't want the comments, you can skip that step.

I. Subscribing to Blog Entries

To get real-time emails of new entries, you must join the blog here. After confirming your membership, log in. Go to the front page of the blog and locate the black box in the upper right corner. You should see your name. Click it. Then click "subscribe to page updates." This will get you real-time e-mails of each new blog entry.

II. Subscribing to Comments

To subscribe to comments, click the word "comments" below any blog entry. Then scroll to the very bottom and click "subscribe." You also may want to register or sign in with Disqus so you can take full advantage of their free services.
